Is Suguru the same as Sudoku?
Both are number-placement puzzles, but Suguru uses irregular regions and a no-touching rule. There are no Sudoku-style row, column or 3 × 3 box requirements. The largest region on these boards has five cells, so you only need numbers 1–5.
What changes between the levels?
Beginner uses a smaller 5 × 5 board with extra starting clues. Standard uses 6 × 6 with some extra clues. Challenging uses 6 × 6 with fewer clues. These labels describe board size and clue support; they are not a calibrated measure of logical solving difficulty. Every puzzle has exactly one solution.
When does the daily Suguru puzzle change?
The daily puzzle follows the date on your device. A new one is available after local midnight when you next load the page or select Daily. An already open puzzle stays in place so you can finish it. Each level has its own daily puzzle.
Is my progress saved?
Your entries, notes, elapsed play time and hints are saved in this browser's local storage. No account is needed. Clearing browser data removes saved progress, and it does not sync between devices. If your browser blocks storage, you can still play.
Can I play more than one puzzle?
Yes. Switch to Practice and choose New puzzle whenever you like. Practice uses our collection of 36 original, uniquely solvable layouts, with rotations, reflections and different clue support. Layouts can repeat. Your daily progress is kept separately.
